COME TO JURANDVOR AND VISIT THE ST. LUCIA’S COMPLEX

Krk is an island of exceptionally rich historical and glagolitic tradition. When you visit the island of Krk it is very important and imperative to visit the former Saint Lucia’s abbey in Jurandvor. Nine centuries ago a rare pearl of Croatian culture and literacy emerged there – the Stone Tablet of Baška.

On the occasion of celebrating the nine hundredth anniversary of the Stone Tablet of Baška in the year 2000 the Saint Lucia’s complex was arranged as an information-and-museum center.

Visitors interested in seeing the complex should come to the reception near the church (it is necessary to go down the stairs to the small yellow building), where it is possible to get information about the Stone Tablet of Baška and to buy souvenirs and tickets.

During the visit with professional guidance visitors can see a short documentary film about the Stone Tablet of Baška and Saint Lucia’s complex in the restored monastery building and visit the church.
